Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the OnboardMap website and service at onboardmap.com. OnboardMap is a product of DiscoveryMark LLC ("DiscoveryMark," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

OnboardMap is an AI-assisted client onboarding platform. With OnboardMap, you can:

  • Create onboarding workflows — checklists, intake forms, and document requests — with AI assistance
  • Send those onboardings to your clients ("recipients"), who complete them through a secure portal
  • Collect files and form responses, track progress, and send automatic reminders
  • Browse our content and insights articles and download free templates and resources

You agree not to use the website or service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

2. Your Account

To use OnboardMap, you create an account with your email address. Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-time code or sign-in link instead of storing a password. You are responsible for maintaining control of the email address on your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails from OnboardMap (such as sign-in codes, receipts, and onboarding notifications) and occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link provided in those emails.

3. Payment

OnboardMap is pay-as-you-go: each onboarding recipient you send an onboarding to costs a one-time fee of $12 USD. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. All fees are in U.S. dollars and, unless stated otherwise, exclusive of any applicable taxes. We may change pricing for future purchases at any time, but a price change will never retroactively affect an onboarding you have already paid for. Refunds are handled as described in the Refunds section below.

4. Your Content

You and your recipients may upload content to OnboardMap, including files, form responses, and other materials ("Your Content"). You retain all ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate and provide the service — including processing it with AI features you invoke. You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to upload it and to have us process it. Storage limits apply to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications, or to send onboardings to recipients who have no business relationship with you
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or harmful
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
  • Resell or provide access to the service to third parties except as intended (i.e., sending onboardings to your own clients)

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on onboardmap.com — including text, graphics, logos, illustrations, and code — is the property of DiscoveryMark LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

  • Insights content may be shared or referenced with proper attribution and a link back to the original article.
  • Templates provided for download are licensed for your personal and business use. You may not resell or redistribute them.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our website design, branding, or proprietary content without written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

Our website and service use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting, file storage, and email delivery
  • Kit (ConvertKit) for email collection and delivery
  • Google Analytics for anonymous website usage tracking

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

8. Disclaimer

The website, the service, and all content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. OnboardMap does not guarantee that:

  • The website or service will be available at all times without interruption
  • The information on the website is complete, accurate, or up to date
  • AI-generated onboarding content will be error-free — you are responsible for reviewing onboardings before sending them

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiscoveryMark LLC and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or service. Our total liability for any claim related to the website or service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Refunds

If you are unsatisfied with OnboardMap for any reason, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase. To request a refund, contact us at austin@onboardmap.com.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
